The artist, known for his monumental works devoted to plants, is one of the leading figures in contemporary Brazilian muralism. The building chosen for this fresco is on Route Cantonale 17, in the western part of the Col-des-Roches plain, where the largest concentration of fritillaries in Switzerland can be found.

Thiago Mazza

Thiago Miranda, aka Thiago Mazza, was born in 1984 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Raised on a farm in rural Minas Gerais, a mountainous region, he developed a strong bond with nature, plants and animals from an early age.
After graduating in graphic design from the State University of Minas Gerais, in Belo Horizonte, in 2010, he worked as an illustrator in advertising agencies, before starting to paint the following year, inspired by street artist friends.
Since then, he has developed his own style, influenced by classical painting, street art and contemporary art, and has made a name for himself on the urban art scene for his mastery of depicting flora, particularly tropical flora.
His gigantic works can be seen in various districts of Belo Horizonte, the city where he lives, and in Rio de Janeiro, as well as in Mexico, Russia and Europe in cities such as Bristol (UK), Madrid and Barcelona (E), Civitacampomarano (Italy), Vukovar (Croatia) and Boulogne-sur-Mer (France).
