- THE ARTIST -

Ememem

Nicknamed ‘the pavement surgeon’, Ememem has treated streets and buildings in the USA, India and Europe. He is one of the few street artists to practise flacking. Flacking involves laying mosaics in urban spaces to artistically repair elements that have been damaged by time, such as cracks, potholes, damaged pavements, etc. This term, coined in 2016 by Ememem himself, is now commonly used to refer to this new ‘art of repairing holes’.
